Vincent Ramo passed away June 11, 2016 at home with family. For several weeks Vincent’s health had been draining away. He was under treatment for Heart by VA. They diddled and twiddled and pumped strange drugs in copious quantities that finished the old trooper off finally.
It was early evening, a massive tornado bearing thunder storm was off to the east creating a beautiful sky show with massive purple and orange cloud anvil gushing up with lightning in the center. I went in to get Vincent that he may also be amazed with this wrath of nature sight. He was sleeping at his computer. I roused him, Vincent was moving around and getting out of his chair. I went back outside to take in this sight. Fredine came out a few moments later waving her cane and exclaimed that Dad was on the floor.
I ran back in and Vincent was out on the floor in front of his desk unresponsive. I rolled him over, he had cracked his head on the way down. It was not bleeding. I administered CPR for 10 minutes until the paramedics arrived to relieve me. Dad’s hand was cold and made one last quiver. Vincent was surely gone. The paramedics pulled out the paddles but their machine did not find a reason to fire a jolt. Vincent was dead and I saw him no more.
